How to find spiritual people in London was a tricky one for me when I first arrived.  I imagine it’s the same for someone who has lived there for a while too if you’re not in the know.  Spiritually connecting with others on your journey is a huge part of learning and breaking free, I certainly learnt a lot and still am learning.  It took me a while though.  I didn’t know where to start, I wasn’t a big user of social media (I still only use it for the blog) and I didn’t have many friends in London.  I have never really had big groups of friend and in hindsight I realised why by exploring my spiritualism.

Ok so, this is what I suggest you do to find the people that will bring on the change you want….

1.Go It Alone

Find an event and go to it on your own.  My very first connection in the world I wanted to be a part of was at a Kirtan in Hackney Wick I saw on Instagram at the Unmind Space.  I didn’t even know what a Kirtan was when I booked it I just saw some photo’s of previous ones and thought it looked good.  It wasn’t a million miles away and I like Acoustic music so thought oh bugger it.  I’d check out the Unmind Space if you can although there are lots of other Kirtan’s being run all over the place.

Once you’ve booked your place online don’t even think about it anymore.  Just put your note in your diary or set a reminder and turn up with an open mind.  Coming away from my first event I had met a friend and arranged to catch up with him the following week.  All of a sudden I was chatting to someone who had been exploring his spirituality for ages and I was learning.  Going it alone was my first and best way step on how to meet spiritual people living in London

2.Creative Spaces

As I was working in a largely corporate and stiff environment I found it next to impossible to find someone else who wanted to explore this kind of stuff.  I started spending time in creative spaces near me, for me it was Husk in Limehouse.  There is a lot more freedom of expression in places like these I find, lots of people outside of the normal 9-5 system trying to express their ideas.  I started this blog from somewhere very similar.

Trying to talk to someone about plant medicines like cannabis and mushrooms, similarly meditation or Kirtan, in a corporate work place felt risky to me.  Find a creative space, get your laptop out and start putting some ideas down and chat to others there.  I guarentee you the more time you spend their someone will definately talk to you about something you’re interested in.

The door to change is yours to walk through.

3.Social Media

Well, obviously social media.  It dominates the online world connecting everyone together, and connection is key, after all we are all one.  Social media for me is a necessary evil, one that I try not to use other than for business and when I do I use it to hopefully help others.  It lures so many people in to live their lives digitally and promote an image which is not true.  That said it was via social media I made connections with like minded souls and even post about this blog.  Follow the Spiritual London Instagram Page Here!

I haven’t quite found my peace with that yet but am working on it.  Use social media to connect with others and actually meet them, you cannot truly connect with other souls over a phone but it can be your halfway house.  How to meet spiritual people living in London, and indeed anywhere, will no doubt lead you to your socials.

In Summary

It will only take one or two brave moments to go to an event or a class on your own and you will connect.  Those who you can really learn from will see themselves in you, a reflection of themselves.  They will see in you someone breaking free of shackles and give you their time and love.

Realiser

Realiser was born from a dream to be in a realised state, a state of awaken.  To be able to see the most obvious things having missed them for so many years.  Subsequently I wanted to create something to serve as an example of how it could be.  If only we might spend the time loving that we spend hating.  Above all spending the time to be kind to others for no reason.  You get the idea.  I will travel around doing what I can and would love for you to join me.  Follow my path here…
