When I started Realiser I was always on the look out for spiritual blog ideas.  I still am!  What I could write about and what would help other people on their journey was important to me.  If you’re thinking of starting a spiritual blog or already have one this might help you.

Here are some ideas on blogs you can write about…

Bright Ideas For Spiritual Blogs

Meditation

Almost everyone has heard about meditation.  Many people do mediate or have tried meditation.  It is such an integral part of spiritual journeys that to write about it is almost a necessity.  There are a few pros and cons with blogging about meditation however, firstly there is a lot of content already out there.  Meditation isn’t limited to spiritual bloggers and is considered a ‘trendy’ topic in the last few years.  To make your way through the traffic you will need to make your content stand out somehow or maybe blog about a niche within meditation.  Spiritual blog ideas will often come in the form of a niche within a well known area of spirituality.

Meditation can come in the form of mindfulness, transcendental meditation, movement based, mantra based etc.  Maybe try writing about a specific area of meditation to prevent your blog being too broad.  This will give you a share of the traffic for those specific questions rather than the broader subject of meditation, which you will get lost in the Google search masses. Who knows, you may even have your own type of meditation that is unique to you.  If you do share it with the world!

Your Daily Spiritual Practice

Your daily spiritual practice is something personal to you.  I would usually recommend that your blog not be overly reliant on your personal experiences, nor be an online diary (despite the advice above).  In order to make money from blogging your content should, generally speaking, be an answer to a question someone types in to a search engine.  As passion filled as this topic can be it is important to offer the readers of your blog all different view points and options.  Obviously everyone is different and we are all looking for answers to our own personal questions, in order to supply some of these answers to a new reader think about them when you write.

There are many different ways your daily practice can influence your life, don’t forget to write about what you know.  Your daily spiritual practice is one of the better spiritual blog ideas because you’ll know exactly what you do and how it works.

Spiritual Exercises (Yoga etc)

The physicality of spirituality takes many forms, Yoga, Pilates, movement classes, breath work, even running or maintaining a still position can be a part of a physical challenge you set yourself.  If you have experience in any of these areas, or maybe you even teach classes yourself, this is a great subject area people want to read about.  Disciplines like Yoga for example are constantly evolving meaning you can always write an up to date blog.  If you don’t have any experience with a physical area of spirituality I recommend going to some classes or practice at home to give you a foundation from which to write.

My advice is write about what you know.

Spiritual Food and Diet

Cacao, maca, avocado, organic juices, herbs, raw vegetables, cool vegan recipes, a plethora of super foods are available for people to explore.  If you’re a dab hand in the kitchen or know your way around a herb or two, this is topic you can write again and again about.  Food is a huge area of conversation online and offline and people create whole blogs on food only, so the exploration of spiritual foods is fair game.  Similarly, maybe you have your own recipes or dishes you think would be great for people to try?

Keeping your body clean and ready to receive higher vibrations and energy is very important.  With that in mind the Google search traffic for ‘spiritual foods’ is higher than it has been previously.

Spiritual Teachers

We all have our own teachers and people who have taught us lessons on our journey.  Some more well known like Ram Dass and some that are personal to us all.  Some are unorthodox (I have been taught so much by Russell Brand) and some come in the forms we least expect.  The first steps on the road of a spiritual journey can come from the words of spiritual teachers.  I myself remember reading about Ram Dass and in a blog and from there went on to find out as much as I could.  To read my tribute to Ram Dass click here.

Writing your blog on teachers or gurus who have influenced you will always be a great source of help to those on the beginning of their path.  You may find that more spiritual blog ideas sprout up from re-reading about your teachers.

Spiritual Awakenings

How do you know you’ve had spiritual awakening? Simialrly, how long does one take and how can I have a spiritual awakening? These are all good spiritual blog ideas and all questions people will possibly type in to Google at some point in their lives.  These are big questions and require a lot of thought when providing the answers.  After all, if someone comes across your blog searching for the answers to these big questions you want to be able to help.  Knowing how you were informed and directed when you started out will give you a guide on how to write your blogs.

Realiser

Realiser was born from a dream to be in a realised state, a state of awaken.  To be able to see the most obvious things having missed them for so many years.  Subsequently I wanted to create something to serve as an example of how it could be.  If only we might spend the time loving that we spend hating.  Above all spending the time to be kind to others for no reason.  You get the idea.  I will travel around doing what I can and would love for you to join me.  Follow my path here…
